ATTENTION ENTERTAINERS
So you think you can sing?

Heartland Community College is looking for talented artists for a "Heartland Idol" contest from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 9 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal. Applications are due March 1st. Heartland Community College has opened up the competition to include all residents. So if you can sing, apply now!

Belting out a tune could win you the opportunity to perform the national anthem at a CornBelters professional baseball game at the new stadium being developed on Heartland's Raab Road campus. Bands and choirs can also compete in the Ensemble category.

A panel of local celebrity judges will score performances in each category. In addition, participants also can win a "Crowd Favorite" award by having their fans vote with cash. All proceeds will help the College bring "Hunter," its hawk mascot to life. (designed by the ICMA's very own, Anjanel Folkens)
